Iconic country band Alabama just announced plans to embark on a 20+ city tour this year.
The Tour Kicks Off This Week
The group’s 2024 ROLL ON II North America Tour, presented by Kenworth consists of arenas, amphitheaters and festivals. The trek is set to kick off on March 23 in Thackerville, OK and run through early November where it will wrap up with back-to-back shows in St. Augustine, FL.
“I look forward to singing ‘Mountain Music,’ ‘Tennessee River,’ ‘Feels So Right’ and so many more,” ALABAMA frontman Randy Owen shared. “It’s just a matter of getting up on stage and enjoying it. We can’t wait to see the fans who made it all possible.”
The upcoming ALABAMA tour will showcase guest artists at specific concert dates, including The Marshall Tucker Band, Diamond Rio, Jamey Johnson, the Bellamy Brothers, Lee Greenwood, and others.
Tickets for select dates of the tour are on sale now.
June Jam XVIII
Amid the 2024 ROLL ON II Tour, Alabama will also host the June Jam XVIII on June 1 at the VFW Fairgrounds in Fort Payne, AL.
Randy Owen and Teddy Gentry from Alabama will announce the talent lineup for this year’s event in the coming weeks. The event’s revival last year attracted almost 11,000 fans and generated hundreds of thousands of dollars for charitable initiatives across the state.
CMA Pinnacle Award Recipients
In 2023, in addition to the return of the June Jam XVIII, Alabama returned to the CMA Fest stage in Nashville where the nine-time CMA Award winners performed a surprise set with performances of “Mountain Music,” a medley of “Dixieland Delight” and “Will the Circle Be Unbroken.”
While on stage, they were surprised with the CMA Pinnacle Award in a special presentation from 2023 CMA Fest co-host, Dierks Bentley. It was an emotional moment as they recently mourned the loss of longtime Alabama band member, Jeff Cook.
Later this year, CMT will pay tribute to the multi-platinum-selling band with “CMT GIANTS: ALABAMA.” The star-studded television special will showcase performances and appearances by Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, Evander Holyfield, Jason Aldean, Jamey Johnson, Lionel Richie, Little Big Town, Lorrie Morgan, Luke Bryan, Martina McBride, Old Dominion, Pam Tillis, Riley Green, Sam Hunt, and Vince Gill. A broadcast date will be revealed later this year.
