Alan Jackson Becomes Grandfather Again as Daughter Mattie Welcomes Son
The sweet baby boy’s name includes a nod to the country icon.

Alan Jackson is officially a grandfather of two! The country music icon’s daughter, Mattie Jackson, and her husband, Connor Smith, welcomed a baby boy into the world on June 20.
Proud new mom Mattie shared the first photos of their son and introduced him to her followers via social media late Thursday afternoon.
“One week ago my life was forever changed,” she began, and went on to reveal her son’s name: Wesley Alan Smith.
She admitted he was “the absolute best birthday gift I could have ever imagined” as he arrived just one day after her 34th birthday.
“There is no greater honor in life than being chosen by God to be your mom. And no sweeter joy than watching your daddy adore you and protect you already,” she sweetly shared.
Wesley Alan is named after her husband’s grandfather and, naturally, her father, Alan Jackson.
“You have all my heart and my prayers, baby boy. If you’re anything like both your namesakes (Connor’s grandad and @officialalanjackson ), you’ve got quite a life ahead of you 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻,” she wrote in conclusion.
Her post included several photos of their newborn son, including a sweet family snapshot and the moment little Wesley Alan met their dog, Ryman.
Congratulatory messages flooded the post as everyone gushed over their tiny bundle of joy.
Alan Jackson is also grandfather to Jackson Alvie Bradshaw, who is the son of their daughter Ali and her husband, Sam. Jackson arrived on December 12, 2022, which happened to be the day Alan and his wife, Denise, celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary.
Earlier this year, Alan and Denise helped announce Mattie’s pregnancy on social media. The couple was thrilled to welcome a second grandchild.
“Blessings are overflowing in our growing family! Denise and I are thrilled for our second grandson to arrive in June! We’re so happy for proud parents @mattiejackson and Connor Smith and can’t wait to meet the next addition to our family,” they wrote at the time.
Alan Jackson has yet to comment on the arrival of his second grandson.
