Rising country star and American Idol alum Laci Kaye Booth is reintroducing herself to fans with the release of her much-anticipated self-titled debut.
Out now, the project features eight tracks, each of which were co-written by the Texas native alongside an impressive list of co-writers, including Nathan Chapman, Laura Veltz, Sam Ellis and Paul DiGiovanni. The collection was produced by Dann Huff and brings Booth’s unique brand of country music to life.
“My whole life, I prayed, and I wished for this to happen. I prayed for it every night, and every time I’d blow out my candles on my birthday cake, I’d wish for it,” Laci shares in a statement. “In my heart of hearts, this is exactly what I always wanted.”

Among the tracks on the project are “Broken Heart Still Beats,” a collaboration with Charles Kelley, and “Treasure,” which will serve as her long-awaited country radio debut. The latter finds the 25-year-old moving on from a breakup with a newfound confidence as she tells her ex she’s moved on.
“One man’s trash is another man’s treasure/ Just like that I went and found somebody better/ Poor poor you a diamond slipped right through your hands/ One man’s trash is another man’s treasure,” she sings on the chorus.
“Treasure,” which was co-written by Booth with Jessie Jo Dillon, Jimmy Robbins and Laura Veltz, arrives at country radio on September 13.
Fans were first introduced to Booth on season 17 of American Idol where she captivated viewers with her “dreamy country” sound. After placing in the Top 5 in 2019, Booth relocated to Nashville to continue to hone in on her craft. That’s where she caught the attention of Big Machine Label Group heavyweights Scott Borchetta and Jimmy Harnen.
