“Working with Lindsay on this song was a blast,” shared Beckham. “Being in the studio with such a talented artist really took this song to another level for me.”
Produced by Ross Copperman and written by Jordan Walker, Trannie Anderson and Michael Carter, the BBR Music Group label-mates’ new tune is full of powerful vocals and high-energy beats as it follows a couple’s intense reunion after time apart. With Beckham’s gravelly vocals and Ell’s signature soulful finesse, the track is a perfect balance of the duo’s distinct voices.
“There is such a raw intensity in this song that when A&R brought it to me, I knew I had to cut it—it hit me like lightning,” added Ell. “Chayce, wow, did he bring it on this song. I had heard so many great things about him but he more than understood the assignment on this one.”
The rising country star received great amounts of feedback following the release of his self-penned track “23,” as the single reached the top of numerous viral charts and secured over 22 million on-demand streams to date. “Can’t Do Without Me” will act as Beckham’s label-debut single.
The new track is scheduled to drop the same night that Ell will be co-hosting the 2021 Canadian Country Music Awards, where the established singer boasts a total of five nominations, making her the most nominated female artist of the night.
Ell has her hand in multiple projects at the moment, as she is currently a host on Canada’s Got Talent, in addition to kicking off her first-ever headlining tour in Canada after finishing her time performing on Blake Shelton’s “2021 Heroes & Friends Tour.”
