GRAMMY-nominated artist and songwriter Anne Wilson will continue to blend her passions for both country and Christian music in her just-announced album, REBEL, set to drop on April 19.

Wilson teamed up with some of Nashville’s most esteemed songwriters to co-write each of the 16 tracks across the genre-bending project produced by Jeff Pardo and Jonathan Smith. As the Lexington, KY native revealed in a recent press release, it took 15 months of hard work writing and recording these new songs to create a collection that truly represents this chapter of her life.  The result is likely to be something both Wilson and fans will be proud of.

“I can’t wait for everyone to hear these brand-new songs on April 19,” shares Wilson. “I’ve been working so hard over the past 15 months to write these songs, record them and get them into the world! I was raised on two things: the love of God and the love of all things Country. That’s what fuels the music I make and that’s what you’ll hear more of on REBEL. I’m just so excited we are this close to releasing the record!”

With the album release still a few months away, Wilson decided to give fans a sneak peek into the forthcoming album with her newest song, “God & Country.” Out Friday (Feb. 2), this tune was co-penned with Jeff Pardo, Matthew West, and Trannie Anderson, and showcases both sides of Wilson’s artistry as a faith-infused Country star that shines even brighter throughout the full-length collection of REBEL

In addition to “God & Country” Wilson has been making an impact on country radio with her current single, “Rain In The Rearview,” which was co-written with Matthew West, Jaren Johnston and Zach Kale. The tune was put into perspective with the music video that exclusively debuted on CMT/Paramount Times Square billboards, CMTCMT Music and CMT.com on Friday, January 26. This came just days after Wilson was revealed as a member of the coveted 2024 CMT Next Women of Country class.

Directed by ACM Award-winner TK McKamy, the music video takes listeners on a cinematic trip through Wilson’s journey of driving away from the storms of the past and moving forward to brighter days. The clip opens with Wilson getting in her car and beginning her trip when a storm starts to roll in, giving her the opportunity to put her lyrics and powerful imagery on display. She puts her acting skills to the test while delivering three different versions of herself while working towards finding that strength in the midst of the dark and dreary downpour.

“The three versions of me and the perspectives of all three were so accurate to how my life has been,” Wilson shares with CMT. “We all go through different seasons and sometimes need the reminder that we can leave our past behind us.”

The lasting revolutions of “Rain In The Rearview” continue to concur country radio while Wilson’s faith-filled release “Strong,” continues to make waves at Christian radio. The song has already reached the Top 15 at Billboard Christian Airplay and Mediabase Audience charts and continues to climbs its way up higher and higher each week, marking two simultaneous radio singles for her.

Anne Wilson is expected to share even more new music on the road while serving as direct support on Scotty McCreery’s Cab In A Solo Tour. Then this summer, Wilson will perform at several major country and Christian music festivals such as Tortuga Festival, Big As Texas Fest, Country Concert, Alive Music Festival and Kingdom Bound.

Hometown Concert

Additionally, it was just announced that Wilson will celebrate the release of her new album with a special hometown concert in Lexington, Kentucky on Sunday, April 21, 2024. The show will take place at the iconic Lexington Opera House and tickets will be available to the public beginning Friday, Feb. 9 at 10 am ET.

“I cannot wait to share these new songs with you live from my hometown,” shares Wilson. “To be releasing an album I’m so proud of is a dream in itself, but to perform it from top to bottom from the Lexington Opera House — where I spent 11 years doing ballet with the Lexington Ballet Company — will be such a full circle moment. This venue holds so many cherished memories for me, and I can’t wait to make another one with you all!”
