During a recent appearance on Good Morning America (GMA), Bailey Zimmerman opened up about all the emotions he felt when he learned he’d be joining Morgan Wallen’s upcoming One Night At A Time World Tour.

As the tear-jerking realization set in, the viral hitmaker began to wrap his head around the fact that after all he had accomplished in 2022, there was still plenty more on the horizon for him.

“I played my first arena show with Brooks & Dunn and afterwards I got in the car to go to Chicago and my managers called me and they’re like ‘hey, we got some crazy stuff,” Zimmerman explained on GMA. “We had to turn down this one tour,’ and it was like one of my favorite artists and I was like ‘why? Why’d we turn it down?’ He said ‘because Morgan Wallen’s gonna take you on tour next year.’ And I just started crying… My whole band, we started crying because it’s like man, this is why we work so hard and we work day and night writing these songs and doing all this stuff. So, it’s gonna be a crazy year. I’m really excited.”

The massive Stadium trek will kick off in Auckland, NZ at Spark Arena on March 15, 2023, and continue on through 4 countries and 2 continents. Zimmerman and fellow country star ERNEST will serve as support throughout the entire journey. HARDY and Parker McCollum will also join the tour on select dates.

This time on the road won’t be the first time Zimmerman and Wallen will cross paths. They previously co-wrote the song titled “Trainwreck,” and have continued to praise each other as they progress in their music careers.

While co-hosting Country Countdown USA with Lon Helton, the “Wasted On You” singer praised Zimmerman and claimed to see a bit of himself in the 22-year-old.

“I told him that I’d be that for him if he wants it. It’s cool just to see a little small-town kid, you know, kind of, like myself, come and start making some noise in the town and all around the country. I’m proud of him and looking forward to seeing what he does,” he said.

Zimmerman also told Spotify that he looks up to Wallen and sees him as a “big influence.”

“Honestly, He’s a big influence on me, and I think he’s a great dude,” he shared.

To kick off what could be a milestone year for the “Rock and A Hard Place” singer, he appeared as a performer on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2023!

During the pre-taped performance, Bailey Zimmerman sang his first-ever No. 1, “Fall In Love,” and his latest single “Rock And A Hard Place.”

“I played Dick Clarks Rockin’ New Years Eve at Disney! ON FREAKIN TV! INSANE,” Zimmerman wrote on TikTok.

He will soon have the opportunity to share both of these songs and more of his musical catalog with the massive audiences slated to attend Wallen’s upcoming tour.

“Beyond grateful for this guy🔥,” Zimmerman wrote in a recent Instagram post. “‘23 is going to be the craziest year ever, and that’s because I’ve got people like Morg in my corner, pushing me to do better every day! You’re an inspiration dawg, thanks for believing in me❤️ LETS GET ROWDY💨💨”
