One of Bailey Zimmerman’s fans took his support to the next level when he got a tattoo of the rising country star’s face on his arm along with the lyrics to his 2x-Platinum, six-week No. 1 single, “Rock and A Hard Place.” After seeing the artwork that was posted to social media, Zimmerman took to his own Instagram stories to share his reaction.
The black and white ink was done by an artist named Justin Reid at New Generation Tattoo, located in San Jose, CA. Based on Reid’s online portfolio, it seems that he’s become known for his ability to create realistic pieces of artwork in the form of a tattoo. This image of Bailey Zimmerman is another prime example of Reid’s talent as it perfectly captures the Louisville, IL native’s face, from his wavy hair to his facial hair and even a bit of his fashion sense.
Underneath his face are the words “Between A Rock And A Hard Place,” written in a way that makes it seem as though the letters are 3D. Zimmerman appeared to be very impressed by this tattoo as he proudly wrote, “This is insane” alongside the fire emoji.
“Rock And A Hard Place” Saw Great Success In 2023
While he is still building his career each day and continuing to make a name for himself in the industry, Bailey Zimmerman has already achieved great success for a young artist. The song included in the tattoo made especially big waves upon its release in December of 2022.
Written by Heath Warren, Jacob Hackworth, and Jet Hervey, the tune became Zimmerman’s first Top 10 hit on Billboard’s all-genre Hot 100 chart in its 41st week. This feat broke the record for the longest climb to the top 10 for a song by a soloist in the chart’s history.
The song eventually climbed its way to the top of the charts, landing at No. 1 faster than his 2x Platinum-certified debut, “Fall In Love,” and became the most-played record across the country in one single week since the Mediabase chart’s inception.
Sharing Gratitude For His Fans
Upon learning the milestone news, Zimmerman took to social media to relish in the excitement with his fans, who are responsible for making his dreams come true.
“A massive thank you is owed to my friends at country radio. y’all have been in my corner since day 1 and I can’t thank y’all enough for the support,” he wrote. “You’ve changed this kids life forever, thank you thank you thank you. An even bigger thank you to the people out there that have helped make this song what it is. Listening every day, calling into the stations, coming to the shows and screaming your heads off… it’s truly amazing to see how big of an impact a single song can have on the world. Y’all have truly, truly changed alot of lives with all the support and I don’t know how I could ever repay y’all…thank you so much”
After appearing on his full-length debut album, Religiously. The Album, ‘Rock And A Hard Place” closed out the year with one final notch of success as it was named the most played country song at radio in 2023.
Just under “Rock And A Hard Place” sits “Dancin’ In The Country” by Tyler Hubbard and two Morgan Wallen fan-favorites – “Thought You Should Know” and “Last Night.”
Earlier this year, Bailey Zimmerman announced “Where It Ends” as his next radio single. Penned by Zimmerman with Grant Averill, Joe London and Joe Spargur, the tune marks the fourth single to stem from Religiously. The Album.
Gearing Up For A Major Year On The Road
Beginning February 1, 2024, Zimmerman will kick off a massive year of touring with his biggest headlining trek yet, RELIGIOUSLY. THE TOUR.
This stint of shows will launch at the Novo in Los Angeles, California, and run through May 20, when he will wrap things up in Dublin, Ireland. Produced by Live Nation, RELIGIOUSLY. THE TOUR. will make stops across the U.S. in major markets including St. Louis, MO; Philadelphia, PA; Boston, MA and more before heading overseas in May.
Zimmerman will receive support from fast-rising country singer Josh Ross.
He has also been tapped to join Morgan Wallen on select dates of his One Night At A Time 2024 stadium run.
