Bailey Zimmerman might not sport the usual cowboy hats or boots, but as his latest song asserts, he is definitely not “New To Country.”

The singer/songwriter broke out onto the scene as a viral sensation while living in a small town in Illinois and besides the fame and fortune he’s come into with the rise of his music career, he’s making sure everyone knows that his country roots are still as deep as they’ve ever been.

As he previously stated on Instagram, “Being country is about way more than wearing a cowboy hat on your head or boots on your feet. I grew up country as hell and I still ain’t changed. So I wrote a song a song about it for everybody that makes fun of me and tells me I’m not country ‘cause I wear Air Force 1’s.”

Delivering His Message Loud And Clear

Out Friday, June 28, the booming new song penned by Zimmerman with Austin Shawn, Heath Warren, Jacob Hackworth and Tim Galloway kicks off with an epic guitar riff before Zimmerman’s gritty vocals turn things up in a rowdy summertime anthem that salutes his fellow country folk. The “Religiously” singer does not mess around when it comes to people questioning his authenticity, so anyone who tries to say he is not country will surely be proven wrong with this hard-hitting delivery.

“Ain’t a thing changed ’round here but the money/ You try to mix it up but let me tell you somethin’/ Same liquor in my dixie, same rowdy bunch with me/ I’ll be laid up in the dirt before you еver take it from me/ So takе the boy out the truck, take the boy out the mud/ Put him up in a PJ, he’ll still try to get them 40’s stuck/ So line ’em up and turn it up and keep it runnin’/ Say whatever you want but I’m anything but new to country,” he delivers on the chorus.

“New To Country” has such an addicting beat that country fans will have it on repeat all summer long.
