Did Billy Ray Cyrus pop the question?
On Tuesday (Oct. 18) the country singer and Australian songstress, Firerose, took to Instagram to share a joint post that showed the couple in front of a colorful fall tree.
Their caption read, “Happy Autumn🧡.”
While the caption focused on the beauty of the nature behind them, it was the diamond on Firerose’s finger that garnered the most attention. The ring caused fans to believe that the lovebirds were finally announcing their engagement. Neither of the songwriters have yet to share a comment confirming the assumptions.
This is not the first time fans have noticed a bit of extra sparkle on Firerose’s finger. On Sept. 14, she posted a series of images on social media in which she was also seen wearing the same ring.
“Taking in the moment …” Firerose wrote in the caption.
Firerose confirmed their relationship in August with a birthday post with Cyrus.
“The world is a better place with you in it. Happy Birthday Billy❤️,” she wrote.
According to PEOPLE, it has been confirmed that they had “been dating for a little while.”
The source also added, “They grew close while working on music together. It is what it is. He and Tish were over before he started dating her.”
The Kentucky native has recently posted several more photos hinting that they are currently filming a project and have been spending time in the studio together, but he has not disclosed any other details.
“Amazing day in the studio. Can’t wait to release this new music🎵” he said in his caption.
The confirmation of this relationship comes just a few months after TMZ revealed that Cyrus’ now-ex-wife Tish Cyrus filed for divorce after 30 years of marriage, marking their third split.
In April, the outlet reported that the divorce records say the Cyrus’ haven’t lived together for over two years and cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split. Tish requested the court to equally distribute all marital assets.
The pair tied the knot in 1993 from their living room in Franklin, Tennessee, and previously filed for divorce in 2010 and 2013, both of which were called off after the couple seemed to resolve things.
“We both woke up and realized we love each other and decided we want to stay together,” the couple previously told PEOPLE. “We both went into couples therapy, something we haven’t done in 22 years of being together, and it’s brought us closer together and really opened up our communication in amazing ways.”
Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus share five children together, Miley, Noah, Trace, Braison, and Brandi. Their last public appearance together was in 2020.
Billy Ray Cyrus’ next scheduled tour date is set for Friday, December 2 at the Oxford Performing Arts Center in Oxford, Alabama.
