Billy Ray Cyrus is sharing his pride for his fiancée, Firerose, who took to social media on Tuesday (May 30) to commemorate her sobriety milestone.

The Australian-born pop singer posted a series of photos to showcase the current state of her life. This includes staying creative with different forms of art, enjoying each day with her partner, Cyrus, and caring for all her pets on their farm in Franklin, Tennessee.

Her caption read, “7 years sober by the grace of God🙏🏼✨ I’m so very grateful for my sobriety & all the blessings in my life today.”

She went on to lend a few words of encouragement to others who are struggling with addiction or those who may know someone struggling to find their way out of the difficult battle.

“If you or someone you love is struggling with addiction, there is a way out,” Firerose added. “There’s always hope & freedom is there if you work for it. Don’t quit before the miracle! 🤍”

Cyrus, a Kentucky-born artist, took to the comment section to express his support for his fiancée’s hard work towards overcoming her addiction.

“So proud of you!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,” he wrote.

In November of 2022, the happy couple officially confirmed their engagement with People.

“She’s the real deal,” Cyrus told the outlet of his partner.

While confirming the news, they revealed that the proposal took a less traditional route as there was no involvement of a ring or getting down on one knee. Instead, Cyrus simply popped the question in the comfort of their Tennessee farm, which the 34-year-old had just moved into.

“Billy looked at me and said, ‘Do you, do you wanna marry me?’ And I was just like, ‘Of course I do. I love you,’ ” Firerose explained to the outlet. “He said, ‘I love you. I wanna make this official. I wanna be with you forever.’ “

Firerose later picked out and designed her own custom diamond ring.

“I’ve spent my life worried about things that are beyond my control. But at this spot in my life, knowing that all you really have is the happiness that you feel inside your mind and your heart…” Cyrus said before pausing as tears began to flood his eyes. “Finding Firerose and getting engaged and then losing my mom [a few weeks later]—see? The teeter-totter will not stay in the middle, but having somebody to ride it out with now—that’s giving me a little more balance.”

During their interview, Cyrus also revealed that he first met Firerose, whose real name is Joanna Rosie Hodges, on the set of his daughter Miley Cyrus‘ Disney Channel series, Hannah Montana. This show aired between March 2006 and January 2011.

“I loved doing that show,” Cyrus recalled before adding, “There’s a couple old pine trees on the lot that look like Tennessee. [My dog] Tex and I would go out there in the middle of the day and he’d take care of his business and we’d stretch and I’d think how much I missed Tennessee. On that given day, Firerose came out of the front door. There was almost a moment of, I don’t know, recognition. I was like, ‘This girl’s a star.’”

This led to a friendship as they kept in touch over the years and found a bond over music. Cyrus’ current relationship follows his divorce from his now ex-wife Tish Cyrus, who is the mother to four of his children, daughters Miley, 30, Brandi, 36, and Noah, 23, as well as sons Trace, 34, and Braison, 29.

The pair continue to share snippets of their life together through social media and their music. They have already teamed up on a number of songs including the 2021 release, “New Day,” and their most recent recording, “Time.”
