Team Blake’s Ian Flanigan showcased his unique vocals during The Voice Knockouts on Monday (Nov. 23) with a performance of Luke Combs’ chart-topping hit, “Beautiful Crazy.”
Flanigan, who Blake Shelton previously labeled a “once in a lifetime vocalist,” impressed Mega Mentor Usher with his “raspiness” and tone.
“Ian, I think that’s one of Blake’s top guns. He has the potential to go all the way,” Usher predicted.
Flanigan went up against James Pyle with hopes to make it to the next round.

“Ian, there’s like an urgency and there’s something so sincere about that. I like your whole mysterious thing,” Kelly Clarkson complimented.
Shelton admitting having to choose between the two was “stressful” and “horrifying,” but went on to select Ian as the winner.
“I don’t even know what to think,” Flanigan shared of his big win. “I am just not expecting things like this in life…it feels amazing!”
At the end of the Knockouts, Shelton explained his decision to keep Ian, saying that he is a “weird-sounding singer that I just can’t get enough of.”
