Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani and Travis Tritt were joined by celebrity chef Guy Fieri at NASCAR driver Clint Bowyer’s retirement party in Kansas on Sunday evening (Jan. 10).

Tritt shared a photo of the group on Twitter, saying that he had a “wonderful time” toasting Bowyer’s career alongside friends.

Tritt’s post received hundreds of retweets and comments, with some people criticizing the group for gathering amid the pandemic.

“Never heard of covid?” questioned one Twitter user, while another wrote, “You are not being very wise. I hope you don’t get sick.”

Others, however, gushed over the group of friends and wished Bowyer a happy retirement.

Bowyer announced his retirement from NASCAR in October, revealing that he would be hanging up his hat after 16 seasons behind the wheel. Bowyer, 41, has joined FOX Sports as an analyst for the 2021 season.

“I have a new opportunity to do what’s next in my life,” Bowyer revealed in his retirement letter. “In 2021 my suit will no longer be fireproof. I will be joining the Fox booth on Sundays.”

Blake Shelton, who has been friends with Bowyer for a number of years, reacted to his retirement announcement on Twitter, writing, Hey @clintbowyer… It’s been a hell of a run my brother. Congrats on the Fox deal!!! Here’s to the next chapter!!! Let’s go do some huntin’ and fishin’ now!!!!”

Bowyer finished his career with 10 cup wins.
