Blake Shelton and Broken Roots performed the hit single “God’s Country” during Wednesday (Sept. 23) evening’s America’s Got Talent Season 15 finale.
During the second night of the two-night finale, The Grammy-award winning superstar performed “God’s Country,” a song that country duo contestant Broken Roots performed as part of the competition earlier in the season.
The extraordinary collaborative performance took place on a rooftop overlooking a city, kicking off with Broken Roots with the opening notes before Shelton joined the duo to sing the chorus and finish out the song with the country duo.
“God’s Country” was co-written by Michael Hardy alongside Devin Dawson and Jordan Schmidt.
Other performances during the finale included the Detroit Youth Choir, Usher, Ryan Tedder, Ava Max, Bishop Briggs, and JP Saxe & Julia Michaels. Special guest David Dobrik also appeared.
America’s Got Talent wrapped up its fifteenth season tonight (Sept. 23) with a star-studded show. The show kicked off at 9 p.m. EST on NBC. Prior to the finale live show, NBC aired a one-hour recap of the season featuring highlights of and backstage footage from the season.
