Blake Shelton just revealed more details about his highly anticipated new album, Fully Loaded: God’s Country.
Dropping December 13, the record features 12 tracks, including seven previously released hits and five new songs. The superstar recently revealed the official track list as well as the album artwork, fueling even more excitement over the album’s release.
Included among the 12 tracks is Shelton’s chart-topping smash “God’s Country” and his current single, “Hell Right” featuring Trace Adkins.
Also included in the mix is “Jesus Got a Tight Grip,” a modern country gospel song Shelton co-wrote with Chase McGill, Jessi Alexander and Rhett Akins.
“Cause Jesus got a tight grip on my soul / And he ain’t lettin’ go, he ain’t lettin’ go/ Devil reaches out but he can’t grab hold / Cause Jesus got a tight grip on my soul / And he ain’t lettin’ go, he ain’t lettin’ go / Might have a little rust on my halo / But when I’m gone I know where I’ll go / Cause Jesus got a tight grip on my soul,” Shelton sings throughout the chorus.
Recently, when “Jesus Got a Tight Grip” and “Hell Right” both charted on iTunes, Shelton took to Twitter to joke about the songs’ subject matter, writing, “No one can ever say I don’t cover both ends of the spectrum… ?♂️”
Fully Loaded: God’s Country will be available December 13, just in time for Christmas. Two months later, Shelton will return to the road for his 2020 Friends and Heroes Tour featuring special guest Lauren Alaina as well as appearances by The Bellamy Brothers, John Anderson and Trace Adkins.
