National radio personality Bobby Bones is releasing a children’s book.

The book is called Stanley The Dog: The First Day of School and is inspired by Bones’ real-life English bulldog named Stanley, according to a press release. The book is set to be released on June 14 via HarperCollins Publishers and is currently available for pre-order, also according to the release.

Bones announced his latest venture via his Twitter page. He shared a photo of himself holding a copy of the book with his dog Stanley in tow as well as a close-up shot of the cover.

“Stanley and I are very excited to show you guys the cover of our children’s book ‘Stanley The Dog: The First Day of School’ which comes out this summer!” Bones wrote. “We’re donating proceeds to Wags and Walks Nashville. Details on how to get a signed copy over on my Instagram!”

In a subsequent Instagram post announcing the book, Bones shared how fans can snag a signed copy.

“Email a copy of your receipt along with your mailing address to stanleythedogbook@gmail.com to receive a limited edition, custom-designed signed bookplate from me! Open to US residents only,” Bones said.

Wags and Walks Nashville, where Bones will donate his book’s proceeds, is a rescue non-profit that saves dogs from high-kill shelters and seeks to re-home them with loving families, as noted by their Campsite bio. Animal lovers can re-direct to this page by clicking the link in @wagsandwalksnashville’s Instagram bio.

Bones said he’s “pumped” to finally be able to share more information about his book. The book is “true to life” where his dog Stanley is concerned and full of “antics,” Bones shared. In addition to its light-hearted tone, there’s also a serious message Bones hopes will reach kids who read the book.

“My hope through writing this book is that it will serve as a reminder to kids that it’s okay not to fit in with the crowd; your differences are what make you so special,” Bones said.

Stanley The Dog: The First Day of School is Bones’ is not Bones’ first book. He previously authored Bare Bones: I’m Not Lonely If You’re Reading This Book and Fail Until You Don’t: Fight. Grind. Repeat.
