Gabby Barrett and her husband Cade Foehner are expecting their second child and it’s a boy.

The couple revealed the news with fans on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 8, via social media alongside a photo of an ultrasound.

“My son. 💙 Another LIFE we get to love and cherish. Happy Mothers Day,” Barrett shared.

Foehner also revealed the news with a heartfelt post.

“Happy Mother’s Day to my amazing, strong, and fruitful Bride! @gabbybarrett_” Foehner wrote. ”She is currently carrying another precious life made in the image of God. A son to bear our name into the next generation. Our children will rise up and call her blessed, this husband also, praises her. Proverbs 31:28 ‘Praise God from whom all blessings flow!’”

This is the couple’s second child, following the birth of their daughter, Baylah May, in January of 2021.

Barrett has been vocal about her desire to have a bigger family since the arrival of Baylah May.

“We’re ready to add on to our family and get some babies in there,” the “I Hope” singer recently shared. “I definitely want to have more than one in the future, for sure.”

Foehner recently praised Barrett’s role as a wife and mother when she was crowned the Rising Star at the 2022 Billboard Women In Music Awards in early March.

“One thing that most people don’t get to see from many artists is who they are in their home. After all, that is who a person really is, is when the doors are shut and the cameras go off,” the Texas native shared. ”So, I’d like to be the first to tell you that Mama Foehner is a superstar in her home.”

He continued, ”She is a mother and wife before she is anything else in this world. As most see, she certainly is excellent at singing and writing hit songs, but they don’t get to see the glory and the wonder of a woman of this caliber in her home. I’ve seen her nurse a crying baby. I’ve seen her cook so many meals that fill my belly up with good food. And I’ve seen her change a big ol’ poopy diaper right before we go out on stage.”

In 2018, Barrett and Foehner met when they both appeared on Season 16 of American Idol. Their relationship continued to flourish and Foehner proposed in March of 2019.

Following a short engagement, the pair tied the knot on October 5, 2019 during a small wedding in Garrison, Texas.

Foehner has also inspired several tracks on Barrett’s debut album, including her chart-topping single, “The Good Ones. Most recently, Foehner appeared in Barrett’s just-released music video for her latest single, “Pick Me Up.”
