Kimberly Perry and her husband, Johnny Costello, have announced that they are going to be first-time parents.
The female songstress revealed the news of her pregnancy via Instagram, sharing that she is “OVERFLOWING WITH JOY.”
“The best news of all the good news lately: I’m OVERFLOWING WITH JOY to share that Johnny and I are expecting our first baby in late August!! Perry went on to explain that becoming a mom was a dream that she wasn’t sure would be possible to obtain alongside her music career, but now, she is proving herself wrong.
“Building my own family is something I’ve dreamed about for as long as I can remember. As a woman and as an artist, I’ve always felt like I had to make a choice between growing my career and growing life. But YALL – I’m doin’ em both at the SAME TIME!! Here we go! 🤍🤍🫶🫶”
She promises to keep her fans up to date throughout these next few months as they prepare to welcome a new member into their family.

Vegas Nuptials
In a previous post, which has since been taken down, the lovebirds celebrated their six-month wedding anniversary by revealing that they had tied the knot. Their private wedding ceremony took place in Vegas in 2021, just eight months after their initial meeting.
“Wishing everyone a very MARRIED Christmas,” she began in her caption. “Today my love, @juannycostello, and I are celebrating 6 months since ‘I do!’ On June 17th we hit the road from LA to Las Vegas in a black corvette and got married at midnight. It was wild and wonderful and reminded me all over again that God is the most glorious creator and the master of the most beautiful blueprint for our lives! I love you Johnny and can’t wait for forever.”
The Band Perry Announce Their Split
On top of becoming a mom, Perry is also in the midst of some major career changes. On Monday, March 27, she and her siblings, Reid, and Neil Perry, reveled they were splitting up their musical group, The Band Perry.
“To our TBP friends and family,” they wrote in a statement to their fans. “We wanted to let you know that the three of us have decided to take a creative break as a group and each focus on our individual creative pursuits. During this season we will continue to support each other as artists and family in all we do Thank you for making our childhood dreams come true!”
Just one week after this statement was made, Perry announced that she will be pursuing a solo career under her newly inked deal with RECORDS Nashville/Columbia Records.
“From the moment I met the team at RECORDS, their appreciation for my journey and my vision for the future as a solo artist has been overwhelming,” Perry shared in a press release. “Everything came together so organically, and it felt right from the very start.”
Perry went on to reflect on her journey since kickstarting her career in country music and moving to Music City.
“I have wanted to live in Nashville since I was eight years old, but I only recently got to officially plant roots here. Being in this town of amazing, creative people for the past year brought me full circle to my original passions – country music and sharing meaningful stories. I am so lucky to have found such a wonderful and welcoming community here, and I feel equally lucky to have found the perfect partner in RECORDS to get my new music out to the fans.”
Before signing as a solo artist, the “If I Die Young” singer cleared out her Instagram feed and began teasing her forthcoming music through a series of black and white images posted.
“Spring things are happening…” she wrote.
This new music will mark Perry’s first release as a solo artist since her split from The Band Perry.
