Brett Young and his wife Taylor are busy preparing to welcome their second child this summer. As Taylor’s due date nears, the couple is also planning to share Baby No.2’s gender with fans, however, they are quite sure how they’ll share the news this time around.
With their daughter, Presley, Brett and Taylor opted to channel his love of baseball for their gender reveal. In a video shared to social media, the country singer took a swing at a paper mache ball, which exploded with pink dust when he hit it. This time, they are planning for something different, but Brett says he’s not exactly sure of the plan.
“We are going to do something when we announce the gender. I don’t think we’ve decided on how. We’re not gonna do the baseball again,” he recently shared during an interview with his record label.

“We really like the idea of a golf ball, but Chris and Lauren [Lane] beat us to it,” he added. “So, we’ll see. You know, I’m only creative when it comes to the songwriting side of things. That’ll be Taylor‘s department.”
Brett and Taylor shared the news of Taylor’s pregnancy with People in late January.
“We really wanted them to be close enough in age so they could have a lot of things in common and be best friends,” Young explained to the publication. “Tay had her sister close in age growing up, so we both felt strongly we wanted Presley to have the same.”
“Tay is so close with her sister, and that’s something we always knew we wanted for Presley,” he added. “We feel very blessed!”
Brett Young will release a brand new song, “You Got Away With It,” on Friday.
