Brett Young is officially a father!

Young and his wife Taylor welcomed their first child, a baby girl, into the world on Monday evening (Oct. 21), People confirms.

Presley Elizabeth Young was born in Nashville and made her debut weighing 8 lbs., 2 oz. and measuring 20.75 inches long.

“We have wanted this for so long and never could we have dreamed of something so beautiful and life-changing,” the couple told the publication. “She is perfect and we are forever better because she was given to us.”

The singer/songwriter shared his excitement over the birth of his daughter on Instagram, writing, “I am so head over heels in love with you I can’t even explain it.”

He also praised his wife for how well she handled Presley’s birth.

“You brought our beautiful girl into this world with a level of grace and quiet confidence that I never knew existed,” he wrote. “I’m so impressed by and proud of you.”

Brett and Taylor first met over 10 years ago. After dating for several years, the couple broke it off when Young moved to Nashville to pursue a country music career. After a two-year break, they reconnected and have been together ever since.

They got engaged in February of 2018 and tied the knot in November of that same year, however, Mills recently revealed that they were officially married a few months prior to their big California wedding.

The couple announced their pregnancy in February and celebrated their gender reveal on social media with a video of Young hitting a baseball that exploded into pink powder.
