Country superstar Brett Young recently stepped onto the stage for the Country Now Live series. Before his remarkable performance though, he sat down to answer 40 rapid-fire questions in honor of his 40th birthday.

Some of the questions asked included his go-to bus snack, what he would do during a zombie apocalypse, his biggest kitchen fail, and much more.

When asked about his favorite birthday memory, Young shared, “My favorite birthday memory was back when I was still playing bars and gigs in restaurants in Southern California. Me and Taylor just started dating she drove in and brought cupcakes and brought them out from the kitchen and had a bunch of my friends, cause you play those bars and restaurants and nobody shows up, so all my friends and family showed up for a silly little bar gig and we had cupcakes with candles in ’em. It was a sweet thing to do for a silly little gig.”

Young also revealed that his favorite song to perform is “Lady,” which recently reached No. 1 on the country radio charts, making this his seventh chart-topping hit.  This sweet tune was written for his wife and his daughter, Presley Elizabeth, before she was even born. With the announcement of his second baby girl on the way, we can only hope new music is in the near future for her as well.

During his 40 Questions session, Young also answered several questions regarding his family, one being that he already has a special piece of both of his daughters that will be with him forever. Young disclosed what this most meaningful tattoo is.

“I just recently got my daughter and our second child’s heartbeats tattooed on my ribs,” Young revealed to Country Now.
