Gabby Barrett, 20, and Cade Foehner, 24, are still enjoying their time as newlyweds, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t already thinking about expanding their family.
Barrett and Foehner, who tied the knot in October of 2019, have been open about their desire to have children and if Foehner’s latest Instagram is any indication of what’s to come, they are going to have quite the family.
On Saturday (Aug. 1), Foehner shared an adorable selfie of the couple and wrote, “Isn’t she just the prettiest little thang! What a privilege to share life with you my Wife! May our Lord grant us long years together and a boatload of babies to baptize!”
Barrett was quick to respond, writing, “My sweet groom. 💕 I love you!”
While they hope to add children into the mix one day, Barrett says it will be quite some time before she’s ready to become a mom.
“[Kids] will be a bit down the road. I would say quite a few years,” she explained to Hollywood Life. “I am hoping to make people happy and get some hits out there, and then look to having children. Music is first and foremost, and it is for [Cade], as well, so we are focusing on our careers and then we will plan on having a family later.”
The beloved couple met in 2018 when they both appeared on season 16 of American Idol. Their love quickly flourished and they got engaged in early 2019. They wed in Foehner’s home state of Texas in October and later honeymooned at the beach in Florida.
The pair collaborated a bit on Barrett’s recently released debut album, Goldmine, with Foehner co-writing one track and playing guitar on several.
Fans can keep up with the couple by following Barrett and Foehner on Instagram.
