Newlyweds Carly Pearce and Michael Ray hit up the “Big Apple” on Wednesday morning for a live performance on ABC’s Good Morning America.
The country couple took to the GMA stage for the national television debut of their duet, “Finish Your Sentences.” The song was co-written by fellow country superstars Kelsea Ballerini and Thomas Rhett alongside acclaimed songwriters Jesse Frasure and Ashley Gorley. The track appears on Pearce’s new, self-titled album, which was released on Valentine’s Day.
The couple began the song trading lines while gazing in each other’s eyes. Their chemistry was undeniable throughout their performance.
“You know what I’m thinking ‘fore I’m thinking it/ Ooh, you light the fire and I keep it lit/ Yeah, I know you better than you know yourself/ You start it, I’ll end it/ I love that I can finish your sentences/ Finish your sentences, yeah,” they sing throughout the chorus.
