Carrie Underwood will bring her forthcoming new album, Denim & Rhinestones, to life on a 43-city tour, kicking off this fall.
Produced by AEG Presents, the trek will feature special guest Jimmie Allen on all dates. Launching on October 15 in Greenville, South Carolina, the tour will hit cities around the U.S. including New York, Nashville, Los Angeles, before wrapping up in Seattle, Washington on March 17.
“I’m thrilled to be hitting the road again with The Denim & Rhinestones Tour,” Underwood said. “I’m having such an amazing time with my Las Vegas residency and look forward to continuing that next year after the tour.”
The eight-time GRAMMY winner promises to share performances of fan-favorites and brand new tracks.
“I’m excited to bring the new music of Denim & Rhinestones to life on tour, as well as put new spins on familiar favorites,” she shared. “We’ve been working hard already preparing an amazing show, and I can’t wait to see everyone on the road!”
The show will include an all-new, visually stunning production directed by Barry Lather (Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson), and Production Designer Nick Whitehouse/Fireplay (Justin Timberlake, Beyonce).
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, May 20 at 10 AM local time. A limited number of exclusive VIP Packages, which include tickets, Meet & Greets, custom merchandise, and much more, will also be available.
Underwood will donate $1 from each ticket sold to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation (t2t.org), which has been helping America’s heroes since 9/11 by providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children and by building custom-designed smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders. The Foundation is also committed to eradicating veteran homelessness and aiding the victims of major U.S. disasters.
Arriving on June 10 via UMG Nashville, Denim & Rhinestones will feature 12-tracks, including the project’s lead single “Ghost Story,” as well as the title track and the recently released “Crazy Angels.”
“We cover a lot of ground on this album,” Underwood shared in a press release. ”We have a lot of songs that have a bit of a ‘throwback’ feel, but they sound super fresh. I grew up listening to so many different kinds of music and that is extremely evident in this body of work.”
“These are musical influences that are all in me and work their way out, and I just decided this time not to get in their way,” the Oklahoma native added. “I think this whole album ended up being a big reflection of me as a person and as an artist.”
Underwood’s album release date is a pretty significant date for the “Ghost Story” singer as this year will mark her 17-year anniversary since her Grand Ole Opry debut, which took place on June 10, 2005, just two weeks after Underwood won American Idol.
Denim & Rhinestones is the follow-up to 2018’s Cry Pretty. Since then, Underwood also released a Christmas album, My Gift, in 2020, and a Gospel album, My Savior, in 2021.
