Carrie Underwood makes her long-awaited return to Las Vegas this evening with the kick-off of the next run of shows of her wildly successful REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency at Resorts World Theatre and it appears she has a few surprises in store for those lucky enough to score tickets.

Cryptic Teaser

Ahead of the shows, the superstar took to social media to share an exciting update. “So excited for tonight! We have a few special surprises for #REFLECTION this season! 🎁✨,” she wrote. Alongside her cryptic caption was a behind-the-scenes photo featuring Underwood on stage beneath two spotlights surrounded by a slew of colorful Christmas ornaments.

Will She Perform Christmas Songs?

Her caption leads fans to believe that she is possibly adding a holiday touch to her Las Vegas residency. If that’s the case, Underwood will likely perform a selection of songs from her first-ever full-length Christmas album, My Gift

The project arrived in 2020 to rave reviews and debuted at the top of several charts, cindluing the Billboard Country, Christian and Holiday charts. The album maintained its position at the top of the Christian album chart for 11 weeks following its release and secured the #1 spot on the Country album charts in the UK and Canada upon its debut. Throughout the 2020 holiday season, it consistently held a place in the Top 5 on the Billboard Holiday album chart, reaching as high as #5 on the all-genre Billboard Top 200.

The eight-time GRAMMY winner later expanded upon My Gift with the release of My Gift (Special Edition) in 2021, which included three additional tracks. Among the track list are holiday favorites like “O Holy Night,” “Silent Night,” and “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.”

Will Play Nine Shows Through December 16

Underwood was all smiles as she arrived back at Resorts World Las Vegas. Earlier this week, she shared an inside look at rehearsals and wrote, “We’re back at our home away from home!”

The three-time ACM Entertainer of the Year is set to perform at Resorts World Theatre nine times now through December 16. Those dates include Nov 29, Dec 1, Dec 2, Dec 6, Dec 8, Dec 9, Dec 13, Dec 15, and Dec 16.

The Oklahoma native will enjoy a break over the holidays and into the new year before returning to Las Vegas in 2024. In September she surprised fans with the news that her residency had been extended through the new year.

“Big news for 2024!! I’m so excited to share that REFLECTION will be continuing at Resorts World Theatre next year beginning in March!” Underwood wrote at the time.
