TODAY Show Appearance

Ahead of her return to Resorts World Theatre for her Las Vegas Residency on September 22, Carrie Underwood will stop by the TODAY Show on September 14 for a live performance as part of the Citi Concert Series.

Underwood was the very first artist to grace the Resorts World Theatre stage when she made her debut at the 5,000-seat theatre with a sold-out show on Dec. 1, 2021. With several costume changes and state of the art production, REFLECTION quickly became a must-see Las Vegas residency.

“Performing live for an audience is my favorite part of what I do, and I love the idea of giving the audience a show and not just a concert,” Underwood recently shared with Billboard. “We can do things in this production we aren’t able to do out on the road.”

“I have always loved touring and coming to the fans where they are, but it’s great to be in one place and get to perform for audiences from all over the world who are all coming to a city like Vegas to have a great time,” she added. “Of course, at the end of the show, it’s nice just to go up to my room and get to bed!”

As part of her ongoing partnership, $1 from each ticket sold for REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency is donated to Make-A-Wish Foundation of America (https://wish.org), which grants life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Carrie has been involved with the organization for more than 15 years, granting wishes since the beginning of her recording career.

New Sunday Night Football Opening

Portions of Underwood’s new Sunday Night Football show opening were filmed at Resorts World Theatre, the home of her ongoing residency. The new jaw-dropping clip made its debut during the matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants with an all-new show open on Sunday evening (Sept. 10).

The video opens with Underwood being lowered down onto the stage from above. Donning a black metallic bodysuit, the CMA Entertainer of the Year nominee commands the stage as she belts out the lyrics to the SNF anthem. This marks Underwood’s 11th consecutive season starring in the Sunday Night Football show opening.

Ahead of the debut of the show opening, Underwood and SNF teased that it would feature a “surprise new element,” which appears to be an epic drum solo by Underwood herself.  Later in the video, she tosses the mic into the audience and shows off her drum skills on a CU-branded drum kit that fans first saw on her Denim & Rhinestones Tour earlier this year.

Deluxe Album Coming Soon

Additionally, Carrie Underwood is also gearing up to release the deluxe edition of her latest album, Denim & Rhinestones. Denim & Rhinestones (Deluxe Edition) will arrive on September 22 and features six new tracks, including her current single, “Out Of That Truck,” as well as “Take Me Out” and “Give Her That.”
