Carrie Underwood will launch her SiriusXM Channel, CARRIE’S COUNTRY, on Friday, June 9.
The superstar confirmed the news on Wednesday morning (June 7), revealing that the official debut of the exclusive, year-round channel will take place on Friday, June 9 at 7:45 pm ET on SiriusXM channel 60 as well as on the SXM App.
Channel To Debut On June 9
To celebrate the launch, Underwood will appear live and in person at SiriusXM’s Music Row Happy Hour at the Margaritaville Cafe in Nashville with SiriusXM host Buzz Brainard.
CARRIE’S COUNTRY will also simulcast on SiriusXM’s The Highway (channel 56) on Friday, June 9 from 8:00 pm ET until midnight ET.
Underwood recently visited the SiriusXM Miami Studios where she recorded a Town Hall special to air on launch day. The event featured Underwood discussing the new channel, answering questions from fans, as well as performances of some of her biggest hits, like “Church Bells,” and “Before He Cheats,” plus a performance of her new single, “Out Of That Truck.”
“Out Of That Truck”
The Town Hall special will air on Friday, June 9 at 9:00 pm ET, rebroadcast throughout the weekend, and will be available to stream anytime on the SXM App.
Following the Town Hall broadcast, at 10:00 pm ET, CARRIE’S COUNTRY will air Underwood’s June 6 performance from the Grand Ole Opry.
SiriusXM announced CARRIE’S COUNTRY in early May, sharing that the new channel will be curated and presented by Underwood. The Oklahoma native joins SiriusXM’s artist channel lineup of Kenny Chesney’s No Shoes Radio, The Beatles Channel, Drake’s Sound 42, and more.
“Before He Cheats”
“I’m thrilled to partner with SiriusXM on my new channel,” Underwood said in a press release. “I can’t wait to welcome listeners into my personal musical universe, sharing my favorite music across all of the genres I love, from classic rock to the latest in country.”
Listeners can expect CARRIE’S COUNTRY to be a musical journey that highlights Underwood’s friends, favorite tracks, and influences, from new and classic country, to classic and hard rock, workout hits, gospel, and more. This set of music will be the ideal soundtrack for any exercise routines, road trips and late-night jam sessions. The channel will also unveil stories behind the female songstress’ music, her record-breaking career, and life on the road.
An Exclusive, Year-Round Channel
“Carrie Underwood is one of country music’s biggest and most multi-faceted artists today, and to collaborate with her on her very own SiriusXM channel is truly special,” said Scott Greenstein, SiriusXM’s President and Chief Content Officer. “CARRIE’S COUNTRY will give listeners and fans the opportunity to connect with her on a new level, beyond her musical choices and influences, as she curates the channel’s programming. We welcome her to the SiriusXM family as we continue to expand our country music offerings to our subscribers.”
Following the debut of CARRIE’S COUNTRY, Carrie Underwood will return to Sin City for the re-launch of her REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency at Resorts World.
On The Road
Later this summer, she will join the Guns N’ Roses’ World Tour on select North American stadium dates this August including Croix-Bieue Medavie Stadium in Moncton, NB, Parc Jean Drapeau in Montreal QE, and GEODIS Park in Nashville, TN.
