Chayce Beckham Reveals How a Rescued Dog Led to Nine Puppies and a Search for Their Forever Homes

Chayce Beckham and his wife, Ashley Britt, are approaching their one-year wedding anniversary on Sept. 24, and they have packed plenty into their first year together. Since tying the knot in 2025, the couple has moved into a new home, welcomed a rescue dog into their family and, most recently, found themselves unexpectedly caring for nine puppies.

The rising country star explained to Country Now that Ashley discovered a dog wandering along the side of the road near their home about four months ago. She brought the dog, whom they named Sundae, back to their home and a few days later discovered that she was pregnant. Shortly after, the sweet pup gave birth to nine puppies.

“The mom, she’s the sweetest. She’s like a little healer mix. She’s a mutt. So we think someone might’ve just taken her out in the country and dumped her, and then that’s kind of how we found her. But yeah, we took her to the vet, they told us she was pregnant, and then about a few weeks later she pumped out nine puppies.”

Unsurprisingly, the couple has quickly fallen in love with all the new additions in their home.

“They’re so fricking cute. They’re the cutest little things and they all just started opening up their eyes. So now they can actually look at you and they’re just fricking adorable.”

On top of all nine puppies, their mom and their own rescue dog Tater who is only around 11 months old, Beckham jokes his house is basically an “animal rescue” at this point.

“We have so many dogs. I don’t know what to do…I don’t want to keep nine puppies. We’re trying to start a family of our own,” he added.

They have been caring for all nine puppies while searching for loving homes for each of them. Beckham recently took to Instagram to let his followers know they are looking for the right families and invited anyone interested in adopting one to reach out.

“We are looking for homes for all the pups so if anyone is wanting one just holler! I’ll try to keep an eye on my messages and get back to y’all,” he wrote on Instagram stories.

The couple also took the time to do a DNA test on the puppies to determine their breed. In a new update from Ashley, the results reveal that the dogs are 33% Siberian Husky, 23% American Staffordshire Terrier, 22% American Pit Bull Terrier 6% Chow Chow and 4% Australian Cattle Dog.

Until they find the right homes for the dogs, the couple plans to keep them in their home for “as long as they need.”  

Other than caring for the plethora of dogs, the “Dirt Floor” singer says he and Ashley are “doing good.”

“We’re making it through it and just taking care of these doggies and hitting the road and trying to get this music out. It’s been an interesting year, but I’m excited to dive back in.”
