Chris Janson experienced an incredibly special moment with a fan during his show at the 95.5 The Bull Santa Jam in Las Vegas over the weekend.

As he prepared to sing his multi-platinum hit “Buy Me A Boat,” Janson decided he wanted to incorporate his audience by inviting one lucky fan on stage to help him deliver the tune. In the clip posted to TikTok, viewers see the country star taking the lead on the vocals and guitar, while the fan donning a cowboy hat and a “Buy Me A Boat” t-shirt danced and sang along to the lyrics. At the same time, he also delivered a boost of positive energy to the audience.

Towards the end of the video, Janson and his new friend throw their arms up in a matching pose, causing Janson to embrace him in a tight hug and say “I like you.” Together, they finished off the final chorus of the song that appears as the title track of Janson’s 2015 album.

Written by Janson and his good friend and publisher Chris DuBois, “Buy Me a Boat” finds the Missouri native disputing the saying, money can’t buy happiness, as he dreams of the things he could purchase if he had “a couple million dollars,” like a boat and a “truck to pull it.” Since its release, the song has continued to be a fan-favorite among Chris Janson’s fanbase and beyond.

Getting Into The Christmas Spirit With A Cover Of ‘Holiday Road’

Most recently, Janson dropped his cover of the holiday classic, “Holiday Road” via Big Machine Label Group and Janson’s Harpeth 60. Serving as a producer alongside Julian Raymond, Janson put his own spin with his rockin’ vocals and skills as an epic drummer.

“Holiday Road” was written by legendary Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham for the timeless movie National Lampoon’s Vacation which premiered in 1983. While it is traditionally performed during the festive season, it can be played any time of the year as the boot-stopping beat never fails to get listeners on their feet and in a jolly mood.

Since it was featured in the beloved movie, the song also is reflective of some treasured memories for many people including Janson, as he expressed in a recent statement.

“I’ve always loved Christmas Vacation, the movie. This song reminds me of that. Hope everyone loves it. I also played drums on this track!”

He will bring the song to the stage once again on December 16 for Fox & Friends, the daily morning news and talk program that airs on Fox News.
