Chris Stapleton has teamed up with Lucchese to launch a line of men’s boots that honors both the highly accredited bootmaker’s craftsmanship and the country star’s own form of artistry.
While this partnership has been five years in the making, Stapleton’s admiration for the brand extends far beyond that. In fact, this friendship began nearly ten years ago in El Paso, Texas, when Stapleton first got the chance to visit the Lucchese factory during a tour stop.
All these years later, Lucchese remains the only boot Stapleton dons both on stage and throughout his everyday life. Along the way, he’s also found a passion for collecting vintage Lucchese.

“We are so delighted to welcome Chris Stapleton to the Lucchese family. If there was ever a relationship that was meant to be, Chris and Lucchese would be the one,” says Doug Kindy, Lucchese Bootmaker President. “Chris is at the top of his craft and continues to embody ingenuity, creativity, and soul throughout his illustrious career — all values we share and admire at Lucchese.”
The GRAMMY award winner and Lucchese have joined forces harmoniously to reaffirm the understanding that songwriting and boot making aren’t much different from each other, as they both involve true artistry in an effort to strike a chord with their communities.
“I’m of the mind that everything can be refined to an art,” Stapleton shared before adding, “I love about Lucchese boots — they’ve taken bootmaking and refined it to an art.”
According to a recent press release, Lucchese’s rich legacy, spanning well over a century, has long been regarded as the epitome of masterful bootmaking. The brand’s commitment to exceptional quality, meticulous attention to detail, and perfect blend of traditionalism and innovation has set the label apart in the industry, making it the preferred choice for connoisseurs and newcomers alike.
“Lucchese has been hand-making boots and leather goods the American way for 140 years, and this is as proud as we’ve ever been,” says Kindy. “We are proud, not only to call Chris a friend and to call ourselves fans, but also to have the unique opportunity to create a line of boots that honors Chris Stapleton, both personally and professionally.”
Since the “Starting Over” singer holds such great appreciation for the heritage of the boots, he took a hands-on approach when creating this line. To ensure the collection maintained the brand’s beloved vintage look in a revamped way, Stapleton referenced the Lucchese’s archives in order to revive iconic silhouettes, colors, and materials.
The collection features three unique styles – The Original, San Antonio, and Old Friend. Starting at $695, each boot is handmade in Texas and comes in two different colorways.
The Original was formed directly from the archives and serves as a replica of the first pair of boots Chris Stapleton ever designed during his first visit to the Lucchese factory. The San Antonio maintains the vintage style that Shelton has grown to love with a brush-off Santini goat, a high-shine finish and historic Seville hand-cording detail that’s inspired by the San Antonio factory. Last but not least, the Old Friend has a unique shape that holds a Western silhouette among the elegant suede leather and pays homage to Stapleton’s heroes who feel like old friends.
“Lucchese boots are what cowboy boots are supposed to be,” says Stapleton. “I can’t wait for people to try them on and find out what I already know: when you put a pair of these on, you don’t need anything else.”

This set of custom boots has turned out to be as authentic and unique as Chris himself. Collectively, they highlight the power of his storytelling, patience, dedication and philanthropic efforts. Every purchase will result in a donation to Stapleton’s charitable fund, Outlaw State of Kind.
The Lucchese x Chris Stapleton collection is available for purchase in-store at all Lucchese retail stores across the country and through Lucchese’s official website.
