Fans have come to love Morgane as she tours with Chris and sings background and harmony vocals on his albums. She’s also played important roles in the album-making process for the GRAMMY-winning singer/songwriter, starting with his 2015 solo debut, Traveller.
The couple recently appeared on 60 Minutes alongside Stapleton’s longtime producer Dave Cobb, who opened up about Chris and Morgane’s unique musical connection.
“I mean, a big part of the sound to me is those two singing together,” Cobb shared. “Very few people in the world could keep up with him. And she certainly can.”
While Chris may be the one standing center stage at his concerts, Morgane is talented in her right. Fans may be surprised to know that Morgane once pursued music as a solo artist. In 2003, she was known as Morgane Hayes and had a recording contract with Arista Nashville.
Morgane is also a songwriter whose credits include “Don’t Forget To Remember Me,” recorded by Carrie Underwood, “Liars Lie,” recorded by Lee Ann Womack, “Talk Is Cheap,” recorded by Alan Jackson, “You Ain’t Right,” recorded by LeAnn Rimes, and many more.
Chris and Morgane recently celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary. They have five children together.
