Chris Young has earned right new Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certifications on Friday (Sept. 25).

The Multi-Platinum country superstar received a Platinum certification for his album, I’m Comin’ Over as well as having several singles earn Gold and Platinum status, you can see the full list below.

“I just have to say a huge thank you to everybody at my label, RCA records, Sony Nashville, and anyone listening to this that has ever downloaded, purchased, streamed any my music because I was totally caught off guard getting surprised with all the plaques.” Young said. “With the platinum albums and the singles and you know, especially that plaque for 3.5 billion streams… just, incredible. And it was such a cool day, we were doing a whole bunch of stuff or charity, filming, and uh, had some people come in and totally surprise me and uh, yeah, I really just have nothing to say but a huge, huge, thank you!”

To celebrate the achievements, Young was surprised by members of his touring crew, management and label with the plaques for these certifications. He was also told that he has amassed over 3.5 billion streams throughout his career.

These right new certifications put Young’s RIAA total to 21 Gold/Platinum/Multi-Platinum certifications to date.

“Today was absolutely a surprise with all of the plaques,” shared Chris. “Recording stuff for charity, celebrating the past, and talking about the future… I couldn’t ask for a better day.”

Speaking of the future, Chris has an exciting new up tempo collaboration releasing soon to country radio and streaming services. Stay tuned for more news in the coming weeks!
