Clint Black is set to return to the road with his wife, Lisa Hartman Black, and 21-year-old daughter, Lily Pearl Black. Before they resume their nationwide tour, the country superstar gave a behind-the-scenes look at a recent family photoshoot.
Sharing a montage of the day on social media, Black revealed the process behind finding the perfect images to use for the cover of their upcoming shows.
For the first round of photos, Black posed with his wife. He held his guitar by his side and wore an all-black ensemble that included his classic black cowboy hat, while Lisa dressed in a stunning, long sleeve black dress that sparkled under the studio lights. After looking over a few of their shots together, their daughter Lily Pearl joined in on the photo shoot. She stuck to the color scheme, sporting black pants and a black top with long, sheer puffy sleeves.
For their final round of family photos, both Lisa and Lily changed up their looks. Lily stood out with her light pink dress with a large bow in the back and glamorous rhinestone heels and her mom paired another black dress with a rhinestone belt and rhinestone collar that matched the cuffs of her sleeves.
“It’s a family affair! Have you gotten your tickets for the Mostly Hits and The Mrs. Tour yet?” Black wrote in his caption.
During an appearance on GMA3, Black revealed how the title for this stint of shows came about.
“I’ll take credit for that, it was in a meeting called what are we calling the tour? And I always try to say something absurd and stupid when I’m in a meeting and that’s what I came up with,” he shared honestly.
In addition to touring with her parents, Lily Pearl is also studying business and music at Belmont University in Nashville. While she practices her skills as a talented singer and pianist in the classroom, she also gets to experience the industry on a whole other level while on the road for the family-oriented tour.
“Well, honestly, I think it’s very different than what I thought it was as I kind of watched them as I was growing up, seeing my Dad go out all the time,” She said. “My mom would do some things with him too. But being out with them, it’s really special, and it’s really fun, and it’s also that they teach me a lot too.”
Black frequently posts adorable throwbacks with his family, but with the return of the tour, one in particular stood out as a special moment as it shows how far Lily has come with her singing abilities. He shared a video of his daughter as a child singing her version of “When I said I Do.” Being the proud father that he is, Black revealed that it’s “hard to believe” that his little girl is “all grown up now” and joining him in the spotlight.
The Mostly Hits & The Mrs. Tour will launch in November and run through February of 2023. Their first stop will in Burnsville, MN on Nov. 17.
“Having my family on the road is the best and the reactions have been everything we hoped they would be!” shared Clint Black.
