Colt Ford Postpones Several Upcoming Shows to Focus on Recovery After Bus Crash

Colt Ford’s team at Average Joes Entertainment has shared a health update for the country act following a bus crash in Germany on Wednesday, August 12.
Following the wreck, the singer took to social media to update fans, revealing that his tour bus crashed into a ditch while he and his crew were on their way to Germany for a show. Although the accident left them with some minor injuries, he reassured fans that everyone was okay and grateful the outcome wasn’t more serious.
He wrote, “One minute you’re headed to Germany for a show and prepping for single release the next thing you know your Bus is in the ditch and you’re getting pulled through a windshield with a broken shoulder by First Responders. The crew is a little banged up but we’re all still here.”
The cause and exact location of the crash were not shared with the public. However, it is known that the accident occurred prior to the singer was set to perform on Saturday at Tailgate X in Ballenstedt, a city in central Germany.
As a result of his broken shoulder, Ford had to undergo surgery just a few days later, which his team revealed was successful.
“We’re happy to share that the surgery went well, and Colt is now focused on resting, recovering, and getting back to doing what he loves.”
Ford will be rescheduling or canceling several upcoming shows to allow himself time to heal properly. The latest statement posted to Ford’s Instagram on Friday, August 14 notes that the “Dirt Road Anthem” singer “hates” having to miss any performances or time with his fans, however, “his health and recovery have to come first.”
Colt Ford’s posts have received an outpouring of love and support from fans and members of the music industry.
“Colt is incredibly grateful for all of the prayers, messages, and support he’s received…We appreciate everyone’s understanding and continued support as Colt focuses on his recovery. We’ll share additional updates as they become available,” the statement concluded.
Anyone who already purchased tickets for an upcoming show that will no longer be taking place on the originally scheduled date should contact the individual venue or point of purchase for information regarding rescheduled dates and/or refunds.

August 19 – Des Moines, IA
August 21 – Lagrange, GA
August 22 – Athens, GA
August 27 – Nashville, TN
August 29 – Altamont, IL
The latest accident comes just two years after Ford survived a near-fatal heart attack in 2024. Following the health scare, Ford made significant lifestyle changes, including altering his diet and losing more than 60 pounds.
He has since returned to the road and just released his latest single, “Fake Redneck.” As of right now, Ford is scheduled to return to the road on September 4 for a show at the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, WI.
