Are Dan + Shay and Carrie Underwood gearing up to release a collaboration? All signs point to YES.
On Monday (Aug 30), Dan + Shay tipped off fans that something was possibly in the works when they took to social media to tease a photo of themselves with Underwood from the 2019 American Music Awards. The photo was shared to the duo’s Instagram story without any context.

Within minutes, Dan + Shay fans reacted on social media.
“I BELIEVE SOMETHING IS HAPPENING! FINGERS CROSSED,” wrote one fan, while another said, “COLLAB???”

Hours later, the duo returned to social media, this time with a feed post featuring a video of a string ensemble playing in a studio. The duo tagged Carrie Underwood in the post with an eye emoji.
This post sent fans into a frenzy and garnered thousands of likes and comments.
The duo’s Dan Smyers teased, “just wait til y’all hear the vocals 😍” and Underwood commented a wink emoji.
The GRAMMY-winning artists have yet to confirm further details about their collaborative project, however, it definitely seems as if something will be announced soon.
This will be the first time Dan + Shay has collaborated with Underwood. The award-winning duo has previously collaborated with artists such as Kelly Clarkson and Justin Bieber.
Underwood has collaborated with several artists throughout her career, including Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley and John Legend.
