Hours later, the duo returned to social media, this time with a feed post featuring a video of a string ensemble playing in a studio. The duo tagged Carrie Underwood in the post with an eye emoji.

This post sent fans into a frenzy and garnered thousands of likes and comments.

The duo’s Dan Smyers teased, “just wait til y’all hear the vocals 😍” and Underwood commented a wink emoji.

The GRAMMY-winning artists have yet to confirm further details about their collaborative project, however, it definitely seems as if something will be announced soon.

This will be the first time Dan + Shay has collaborated with Underwood. The award-winning duo has previously collaborated with artists such as Kelly Clarkson and Justin Bieber.

Underwood has collaborated with several artists throughout her career, including Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley and John Legend.
