It was a big night for Dan + Shay. The country music duo made up of Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, scooped up a 2019 CMT Music Award for Duo Video of the Year for their heartwarming “Speechless” video, which stars their respective wives.

For Dan + Shay, the win, which was one of eight fan-voted categories, comes after a stellar year, including multiple Grammy wins.

“I just want to thank God for the opportunity to be up here and to wake up next to the real stars of the video, our wives over here Hannah [Billingsley] and Abby [Law],” Mooney said, upon accepting the duo’s award.

Meanwhile, Smyers added, “Thank you all for believing us from day one. You all changed our lives in more ways that you know. Most importantly the fans thank you so much.”

Dan + Shay was presented the award by singer Brandi Carlile and Chris Sullivan of This is Us during the night’s telecast, which aired live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday (June 5). Other stars in the running for the same category included, Brothers Osborne, Dan + Shay, Florida Georgia Line, LOCASH, Maddie & Tae and Sugarland feat. Taylor Swift.
