He’s here! Dan + Shay’s Shay Mooney and his wife Hannah welcomed their second son, Ames Alexander Mooney, on Friday (Feb. 21), the couple confirmed to People.
According to the publication, Baby Ames made his debut in Music City, weighing 6 lbs., 7 oz. and measuring 19.5 inches long.
“Our family is ecstatic,” the beaming couple shared with People. “Ames is absolutely perfect!”
The couple, who wed on Mooney’s family farm in Arkansas in the fall of 2017, on initially shared the news of Hannah’s pregnancy in August. Recruiting big brother Asher James to help share the news, they took to Instagram to reveal that they were expecting another baby boy.
“Hannah and I have been dying to share the news,” Mooney said at the time. “We thought for sure we’d be announcing a baby girl, but God has other plans for the Mooney’s. Found out today we’re having a BOY! Bout to be a new duo in town!”
Shay Mooney will need to get in as many baby cuddles as possible now as he and Dan Smyers are gearing up to embark on their first-ever arena tour this spring. Kicking off with back-to-back nights at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, Dan + Shay’s The (Arena) Tour runs through October 31.
