In a recent 11-question interview with Opry member and Grammy award-winning artist, Darius Rucker, he not only revealed that he’s been hard at work writing new music during quarantine but also that he has a new single coming out this Summer with Lady A.
In the interview on Friday (June 19), Rucker explained what he’s been up to these last few months.
“Mostly doing a lot of songwriting, actually tons of writing — being around the house, doing stuff around the house that I never get time for, you know. And playing golf when the course is open,” said Rucker.
When asked if he can give fans any hints on exciting things to come, Rucker revealed that he has a new single coming out this Summer that features superstar country trio, Lady A. He teased fans that “It’s a lot of fun.”
“I have a new single coming out this summer with Lady A. I’m really excited and can’t wait for people to hear it. It’s a lot of fun,” Rucker revealed.
Rucker and Clint Black performed live at the crowd-less Grand Ole Opry in Nashville on Saturday (June 20), continuing the Opry’s tradition of more than 4,900 consecutive Saturday night shows amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
