Dierks Bentley and The War and Treaty Join Forces For Cover Of Iconic U2 Hit at 2021 ACM Awards

Dierks Bentley joined forces with The War And Treaty for a collaborative performance at the 2021 ACM Awards on Sunday, April 18.

The country superstar and husband & wife duo gave a stellar cover of U2’s “Pride (In The Name Of Love),” live from Bentley’s hometown bar, The Station Inn. Also joining Bentley and The War And Treaty was Larkin Poe, Brittany Haas, Paul Cowart and Ben Helson.

“I am beyond stoked, they don’t make a word to describe how excited I am about this ACM performance coming up. Singing U2’s ‘Pride (In The Name Of Love)’ with the one and only, The War And Treaty – Micheal and Tanya, if you don’t know The War And Treaty, just be prepared to have your minds blown.” Bentley shared ahead of their ACMs performance.

“Most soulful voices, just big personalities, great people, just two of my favorite people and I’ve known them for a few years now. This whole thing came about so organically,” Bentley continued. “I cannot believe we are singing ‘Pride (In The Name Of Love)’ together from The Station Inn stage, my hometown bar, honoring our buddy JT Gray, who owned the bar and passed away this year.”

Bentley is up for 2 nods at this year’s ACM Awards, including Male Artist Of The Year and Video Of The Year.

The 56th ACM Awards also featured performances from Brothers Osborne, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Dan + Shay, Mickey Guyton, Alan Jackson, Thomas Rhett, Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, Lady A, Ashley McBryde, Keith Urban, Gabby Barrett, Jimmie Allen, Little Big Town and more.

Additionally, the show included star-studded collaborations by Miranda Lambert with Jack Ingram and Jon Randall, Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd, Chris Young feat. Kane Brown, Carly Pearce and Lee Brice, as well as Carrie Underwood & CeCe Winans. The show opener featured the live debut of Elle King and Miranda Lambert’s duet, “Drunk (And I Don’t Want To Go Home).”

Co-hosted by Keith Urban and Mickey Guyton, the 2021 ACM Awards took place in Music City for the second consecutive year. The three-hour awards show took place at three iconic Nashville venues, including Grand Ole Opry House, Ryman Auditorium and The Bluebird Cafe. The awards show aired on Sunday, April 18 (live 8:00-11:00 PM ET) on CBS Television Network and were also streamed live on CBS All Access.
