Dolly Parton is lending her vocals to the new Kristin Chenoweth album, appearing on Chenoweth’s cover of her iconic song “I Will Always Love You.”
The track, originally recorded by Parton in 1973 and re-recorded by Whitney Houston for The Bodyguard, appears on For The Girls, a tribute to the women who influenced Chenoweth’s career. The album finds Chenoweth covering songs by iconic female artists such as Parton, Patsy Cline, Barbra Streisand and Linda Ronstadt.
“These are some of my favorite singers in the world,” Chenoweth told Entertainment Tonight. “‘I Will Always Love You’ is a song I’ve loved since I was a child. I used to think, ‘One day I’m going to sing that song.’ Little did I know that I’d get to sing it with the queen herself.”
For The Girls will be available beginning September 27. Listen to Parton and Chenoweth’s version of “I WIll Always Love You” below.
