Dolly Parton and Miley Cyrus have announced that they will serve as co-hosts for this year’s “Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party.”

The global superstar and multi-platinum-selling recording artists took to social media on Monday (Nov. 21) to reveal the exciting news.

Their announcement came in the form of a video as they sat decked out for an evening of fun and were surrounded by what looks to be a New Year’s Eve party equipped with streamers, champagne and plenty of glam.

“’Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party’ is about getting glamorous and dressing your best,” Cyrus said in the video earning a response from Parton who said “Well, we do that every day, don’t we, Miley?”

The “Wrecking Ball” singer added, “you taught me well.”

This will mark the second iteration of this star-studded event on NBC, after it saw great success in 2021. Last year’s special, which was co-hosted by Cyrus and Pete Davidson, was considered to be the No. 1 most social entertainment special across all of TV in 2021 (excluding awards).

“The inaugural ‘Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party’ was an unqualified success and we know this year’s show will be just as spectacular, with plenty of surprises and lots of fun,” said Jen Neal, Executive Vice President, Entertainment Live Events, Specials and E! News, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming. “We can’t wait to get the party started.”

Cyrus and “Saturday Night Live” creator and EP, Lorne Michaels will serve as the executive producers of the event. It’s also produced by Miley Cyrus’s mom, Tish Cyrus’ Hopetown Entertainment, and directed by Joe DeMaio.

The celebration is said to feature an A-list lineup of musical performances and special guests, which have yet to be unveiled.

Last year’s event was also set in Miami and featured artists including Brandi Carlile, Billie Joe Armstrong, Jack Harlow and Saweetie.

In order to create a more inclusive experience for blind and visually impaired viewers, NBCUniversal is proud to present the full NBC broadcast with live audio description on the Secondary Audio Program channel (SAP), provided by Descriptive Video Works. The broadcast will be available with additional audio narration, describing the rich visuals of the special.

“Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party” will air live on NBC from Miami on Saturday, Dec. 31 from 10:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. ET and will also stream live on Peacock.

This is not the first time these superstars have joined forces. In fact, Cyrus has known Parton her whole life, considering the “9 To 5” singer is her godmother.

Along with their time working together on the set of Disney’s Hannah Montana, Parton and Cyrus have taken the stage together on a number of occasions. Cyrus has even been known to incorporate Parton’s signature song, “Jolene” into the set of her popular concerts.
