Country singer and former The Voice finalist Emily Ann Roberts is engaged!

The soon-to-be bride shared the news on Instagram Monday (Oct. 28), revealing that her longtime boyfriend, Chris Sasser, recently proposed to her.

“Y’all!!! The love of my life asked me to marry him,” she gushed. I’m so thankful that the Lord brought Chris into my life at just the perfect time and for all the love and support he given me every single day for the past 4 and a half years.. I GET TO MARRY MY BEST FRIEND?”

Roberts, who recently relocated to Nashville from the Knoxville area, rose to fame in 2015 when she earned a two-chair turn on NBC’s The Voice. She ultimately chose to join Blake Shelton’s team where she went on to finish season nine of the hit show in second place. She recently released a six-song EP entitled Someday Dream.

Over the summer, the singer/songwriter joined Country Now on the CMT Music Awards red carpet where she had artists play a round of “Who’s Most Likely To: Country Edition.” See the clip below.

Lauren Jo Black is a longtime member of the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music.
