ERNEST is taking a month off to focus on his family.

The singer/songwriter took to social media to bid farewell to fans ahead of his well-deserved hiatus and explained how his on-the-go lifestyle has began to impact him in ways he didn’t think were possible.

“Getting out and playing for you guys every night has been a dream. But running non-stop I’m not gonna lie, it’s taken its toll on me. After getting back from London, it’s really hit me,” the Nashville native began.

He explained that for the next month, his main priority is going to be family.

“I’m going to be taking about a month off to reset and spend some time at home with my family. My son, Ryman is now at the age where every time I get home, he asks me if Im leaving… and I just can’t stand hearing him ask for daddy thru a phone call any more… I wanna spend quality time at home and pour into that reserve,” ERNEST wrote.

Before signing off, he thanked his fans for always supporting him, writing, “I’m lucky to have a lot of incredible things coming up, and because of that I want to show up as my best self for my family and for you guys. We will be back on the road soon, and I can’t thank you all enough for the support – y’all be good.”

ERNEST’s wife, Delaney, was among the first to comment on his post, leaving a heartfelt “Love you so much” in the comments section.

His post evoked responses from a few fellow artists, including Randy Houser, who agreed, “The hardest part of what we do brother,” and Devin Dawson, who shared, “Fam first.”

Fans also flooded the post with supportive messages applauding him for taking the time he needs to be with his family and rest up.

According to his website, ERNEST will return to the stage on August 8 at the Voices of American Country Music Festival in Ohio. He has a slew of dates planned after that, including stops at fairs and festivals around the U.S.

In September, ERNEST will kick off his fall headlining tour, The Legalize Country Music Road Show. The trek will kick off in Vancouver, Canada on Sept. 4 and continue throughout several markets, including Los Angeles, Calif., Anaheim, Calif., Fort Worth, Texas, Milwaukee, Wis., Knoxville, Tenn., and more.

Earlier this year, ERNEST released his standout, 26-track album, NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE. This project included collaborations with Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, Morgan Wallen, and Lukas Nelson and serves as a love letter to his hometown of Music City, USA.

“I was born and raised in Nashville,” ERNEST shared upon the project’s release. “I love this city, it’s the country music capital of the world, and this album is a positive affirmation in the name of country music. That country at its core, the songwriting and storytelling, is popular again.”

In support of the album, ERNEST made a whirlwind run of appearances, including performances on The Kelly Clarkson Show and Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
