ERNEST brings his brand new single, “American Rust,” to life with a nostalgic music video that features an appearance from his wife, Delaney.
The just-released clip was directed by Justin Clough and takes viewers on tour of ERNEST’s hometown of Nashville, TN as the singer/songwriter visits spots that are personal to him, such as the field where he grew up playing baseball.
The sentimental, must-see clip also features an appearance from his wife, who birthed their son, Ryman Saint, just three days after the music video was filmed.

Co-written by ERNEST alongside Rodney Clawson and Jordan Reynolds, “American Rust” serves as a testament to the fact that some things actually do get better with time, from Chevrolets to diamond rings.
The song was produced by ACM Producer of the Year nominee Joey Moi and follows the release of ERNEST’s “Cheers.”
He recently earned his fourth No.1 as a songwriter with Sam Hunt’s “Breaking Up Was Easy In The 90’s. ERNEST co-wrote Florida Georgia Line’s “I Love My Country,” Morgan Wallen’s “More Than My Hometown,” and Chris Lane’s “Big, Big Plans.” Additionally, he had a hand in writing 11 song on Wallen’s chart-topping Dangerous: The Double Album.
“American Rust” is available to download/stream HERE.
