ERNEST Reflects On Dual ACM Nominations, Considers Himself A Winner Regardless Of The Outcome [Exclusive]
Whether ERNEST takes home a win or not, he says he is “just happy” to be nominated with some of his closest friends.

ERNEST’s stand-out abilities as both a singer and a songwriter have been proven time and time again, and now he is being recognized for his talent at this year’s Academy of Country Music Awards. Going into the star-studded event, ERNEST is nominated for New Male Artist of the Year and Artist-Songwriter of the Year.
New Male Artist Of The Year
For New Male Artist, the Tennessee native finds himself going up against emerging acts like Conner Smith, Dylan Scott, Kameron Marlowe, and Nate Smith, all of whom continue to make waves within the industry.
“That’s gonna be a tough one to win,” he said of the honorable recognition. “Especially with Nate having, 38, however many weeks on the radio with ‘World On Fire.’ So, just happy to be nominated and mentioned with those guys and to be considered.”
Going Up Against Some Of His Closes Friends
ERNEST has become stand-out act within the country music community for his free-spirited personality and stellar abilities as singer, songwriter and performer. He has written fan-favorite tracks for some of the biggest names in the business and has racked up nine of his own top-charting hits.
Most recently, he unleashed his highly anticipated sophomore album, NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE, which follows up his critically acclaimed debut album FLOWER SHOPS (THE ALBUM) and FLOWER SHOPS (THE ALBUM): Two Dozen Roses.
All of this hard work and success has led up to him earning an ACM Artist-Songwriter of the Year nomination.
In this category, ERNEST is vying for the title among some of the biggest names in the business – HARDY, Morgan Wallen, Chris Stapleton and Zach Bryan. Knowing that he is competing with some of his closest friends in this category, ERNEST says it feels like he has already won.
“I already won, whether I win or not that night. I’m nominated, but even if I wasn’t nominated, I literally get to do this for a living, and they are my friends…I won.”
Fans can tune into the 59th ACM Awards on Thursday, May 16 to see if the “Flower Shops” singer will take home any trophies from the star-studded evening.

Hosted by Reba McEntire, the show will air live from the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas at 8 p.m. EDT / 7 p.m. CDT / 5 p.m. PDT exclusively on Prime Video. For this special occasion, fans do not need a Prime membership to watch as everyone is invited to “Country Music’s Party of the Year.”
