The family members of the late country icon, Toby Keith, have arrived in Austin, Texas to celebrate his legacy among a slew of his fellow country artists at the 2024 CMT Music Awards.

Keith passed away on Monday, February 5 at the age of 62 years old, following his a more than two-year-long battle with stomach cancer. Although he could not be present for the night’s celebratory events, his three kids Krystal Sandubrae, Shelley Covel and Stelen Covel, whom he raised with his wife, Tricia Lucas, were on hand with bright smiles on their faces.

Krystal brought elegance onto the scene with her navy blue and silver rhinestone ensemble while Shelley donned a stylish colorful dress and Stelen kept things classy with his white button-down and gray suit jacket and dress pants.

Toby Keith’s Passing Was Announced On February 6

The statement read: “Toby Keith passed peacefully last night on February 5, surrounded by his family. He fought his fight with grace and courage. Please respect the privacy of his family at this time.”

This devastating news came only a few weeks after he took the stage in Las Vegas to deliver what ended up being his final three concerts. During those shows, the beloved singer/songwriter performed some of his biggest hits, including “Beer For My Horses,” “How Do You Like Me Now,” “You Shouldn’t Kiss Me Like This,” “Red Solo Cup,” and “Courtesy of the Red White And Blue.”
