Rising country artist Nikita Karmen just released her debut album, The Garden, and to celebrate, she’s sharing a few fun facts about herself with fans.
The Australia-born, Nashville-based singer/songwriter recently sat down with Country Now to share five things fans may not know about her. In the exclusive video clip, Karmen opens up about being a twin, her adorable dog and more. She also reveals the first country song she ever learned how to play on guitar. Check it out in the video below.
Out now, The Garden was produced by fellow singer/songwriter Walker Hayes and features nine tracks. The album transpired after Karmen wrote the project’s latest single, “Own Roses,” and sent it to Hayes. From there, the pair joined forces to create The Garden.
The project is very personal to Karmen as it details her journey to become an artist and her life-changing move from Australia to Nashville.
The music video for “Own Roses” was shot by Karmen’s sister and offers a snapshot into her life at home. Click below to watch.

During this time, she hosted 24 weeks of live concerts via Country Now Live on Twitch with special guests such as Lady A, Dierks Bentley, Jordan Davis, Brett Young, and Jon Pardi. Over the course of her career, she has had the privilege of conducting interviews with some of the industry’s most prominent stars, including Reba McEntire, Blake Shelton, Luke Combs, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Lainey Wilson, and many others. Lauren Jo Black is a longtime member of the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music.
