Jordan Davis’ latest single, “I Ain’t Sayin’” has been heating up country radio and now fans get to see the story play out in a brand-new music video.

The Caleb Cockrell-directed video opens with Davis and a few of his buddies getting ready for a day on the boat. He calls up one girl, in particular, to invite her to join them, however, once he learns her no-good boyfriend would be coming along, he revokes the invitation. Moments later the upbeat tune kicks in and the accompanying footage proceeds to showcase all the carefree fun the group is having out in Charleston without the couple.

Meanwhile, the lyrics start to come to life as viewers see the beautiful blonde character being treated poorly by her boyfriend, who won’t pay attention to her on dates, makes her cover the bill, and is always finding a reason to argue.

The same story is portrayed through the song that finds Davis sharing his perspective on a young couple as the girl’s friend, and delicately trying to maintain a balance between not wanting to steal the girl for himself, but still knowing that she deserves better than the guy she’s currently with.

“I ain’t sayin’ I’m an angel, baby, if you can’t tell/ No, I ain’t the take-you-home-to-mama type/ And I ain’t sayin’ he’s a bad guy, all I know is that guy/ Must’ve up and lost his mind tonight/ ‘Cause you’re down to the ice in that drink/ He didn’t buy, I’m here and he’s MIA/ That ain’t no kinda love, I ain’t sayin’ I’m the one/ I’m just sayin’ he sure as hell ain’t,” Davis sings on the chorus.

The video ends on an upbeat note as the girl finally comes to the conclusion that she’s had enough and ditches the guy to go hang out with her friends. The final clips find her hanging out with the guys of the group, bashing her now ex, and finding a new man all in a matter of a few minutes.

Written by Steve Moakler, Travis Wood, Mark Holman, and Emily Reid, “I Ain’t Sayin’” serves as the first radio single from Jordan Davis’ highly anticipated album expected to drop in 2025.

The song follows his platinum-selling album Bluebird Days, which earned Davis four consecutive No. 1 hits and two Song of the Year wins including a CMA Award for “Buy Dirt” and an ACM Award for “Next Thing You Know.” Davis is one of the only artists to accomplish this feat off one album.

The trek kicked off in February of this year and will come to a close with a stop in Abbottsford, BC on October 20. In early 2025, Davis will head to Australia and New Zealand to open for Luke Combs’ upcoming headline run featuring eight shows across four cities.
