Country music fans at the inaugural Country Splash Cabo festival got an unexpected taste of wellness between pool parties, live performances and plenty of time in the Cabo sun.
As the festival’s Official Wellness Partner, Sports Research brought its “Hydrate Responsibly” campaign to the all-inclusive event over Labor Day weekend, where more than 3,000 guests gathered to see artists including Riley Green, Jon Pardi and Tucker Wetmore, along with global DJ Diplo.

The wellness-focused experience included a morning yoga session led by Diplo and Sports Research instructors, giving festivalgoers a chance to start their day with movement before heading back to the music and pool parties. The brand also used the weekend to introduce its new Creatine + Electrolytes drink mix, which is now available at select Costco warehouses.
“Yoga with Diplo embodied the energy behind Creatine + Electrolytes,” Shannon Lewallen, Senior Director of Communications at Sports Research, shared. “This product belongs in that crossover: rooted in sports nutrition, with a place in modern wellness and culture. We created Hydrate Responsibly to capture that energy, inviting people to rethink what their drink can do for them and how wellness can fit into the experiences they already love. We want the discovery to last beyond the moment, becoming a daily habit people enjoy and share. That’s Hydrate Responsibly.”
The sugar-free powder drink mix combines 5 grams of micronized creatine monohydrate with 1,000 milligrams of electrolytes per serving, bringing the two sports nutrition staples together in a convenient single-serve format.
The formula is designed to support strength, workout recovery and hydration and includes four electrolytes: sodium, potassium, magnesium and chloride. It is also Informed Sport certified, Non-GMO Project Verified and Clean Label Project Certified.
Available in refreshing fruit flavors and designed for life on the go, the new formula can easily be added to a daily water routine. There’s no need for separate tubs or scoops, making it a convenient option for those looking to simplify their routine. Its single-serve format also makes it an easy fit for busy days, travel and even long weekends at country music festivals.
“What excites me is how this product comes together: the formula, the flavors and the quality behind it,” Mike Pedersen, Chief Operating Officer of Sports Research, shared. “It reflects the care we’ve always put into our products, now in a format built for how people actually live.”
The launch also marks Sports Research’s first entry into Costco’s sports nutrition aisle, expanding the brand’s presence at the retailer.

“Continuing to expand our presence at Costco is an exciting milestone for Sports Research,” Abid Shivji, Vice President of Business Development and Strategy at Sports Research, shared. “Creatine and electrolytes are both strong and growing categories, and bringing them together in one convenient product is a natural extension for Sports Research. We’re excited to bring this innovation to Costco members.”
Following its Country Splash Cabo debut, Sports Research plans to bring its “Hydrate Responsibly” campaign to more live experiences, including run clubs, boutique fitness events and festivals. The brand is working with experts, creators and athletes to educate consumers about the product and show how it can fit into their everyday routines.
The 30-count variety pack at Costco features Watermelon, Lemon Lime and Tropical Punch, although availability may vary by warehouse. A separate 16-count variety pack, which also includes Red Grape, is available through Amazon, TikTok Shop and SportsResearch.com.
