Life with three little ones is never dull for Gabby Barrett. The “I Hope” singer recently shared a hilarious parenting moment involving her two oldest children, and a pair of scissors.

When her oldest daughter Baylah May decided to give her brother Augustine Boone an impromptu haircut, things took a turn for the worse, leaving Barrett and her husband Cade Foehner no choice but to shave his head.

The songstress documented the hilarious moment on Instagram on Tuesday, beginning with a photo of tiny feet, small hands holding a pair of scissors, and hair scattered across the floor and chair, clear evidence that a little mischief had taken place. With no caption, Barrett simply added a shocked face emoji, perfectly summing up the situation.

In her next post, Barrett shared a photo of Augustine standing in the front yard sporting a freshly buzzed head. She added text over the photo that read, “Someone got a buzz cut in the front yard after big sister decided she was a barber.”

Barrett can look forward to spending more time at home with her family this winter, having wrapped up her tour schedule for the year. According to her website, her next scheduled tour date isn’t until May 2026.

Already getting in the holiday spirit, the multi-platinum star recently released the deluxe version of her 2024 album, Carols and Candlelight, featuring two all-new covers from blockbuster motion picture soundtracks. Carols and Candlelight (Deluxe) includes her moving rendition of “Where Are You Christmas” — just in time for the song’s 25th anniversary — from Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas (originally recorded by Faith Hill), as well as a gorgeously touching update on the Glen Ballard and Alan Silvestri-penned ballad “When Christmas Comes to Town” from The Polar Express.

The album’s era-spanning tracklist includes cherished Christmas carols, time-honored Advent hymns, and joyful songs of festive celebration. It also showcases collaborations with Barrett’s husband Cade Foehner on “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” and The Piano Guys on “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel,” alongside her stunning renditions of classic favorites such as “I’ll Be Home For Christmas,” “The First Noel,” and “O Holy Night.”

Gabby Barrett recently released two new tracks: “The Easy Part”  and “Ain’t Supposed To Be” and has plans to release more new music soon.
