To celebrate the release of his new single, “Dive Bar,” featuring Blake Shelton, country superstar Garth Brooks announced a special tour playing only – you guessed it – dive bars.
Brooks announced the tour on National Dive Bar Day during a special Inside Studio G session, which airs live on Facebook and The Garth Channel on Sirius XM.
The iconic entertainer teamed up with Seagram’s 7 Crown, who will hand-pick the cities for the seven-stop tour.
The run will begin July 15 in Chicago, which is the only city announced for the tour so far. A representative from Brooks’ team told the Chicago Tribune that local Chicago country radio stations will announce the venue and reveal how to get tickets on Monday afternoon (July 8).
Brooks encouraged fans to stay tuned to their local country radio stations around the country for more details on the Dive Bar Tour.
Garth Brooks is currently in the midst of his massive, three-year stadium tour. He will perform “Dive Bar” for the first time live with Shelton on July 19 when The Garth Brooks Stadium Tour rolls through Albertsons Stadium in Boise, Idaho.
